Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a type of counselling that helps people change the way they think and behave to feel better. It focuses on identifying and challenging negative thoughts and beliefs that cause distress.

The therapist works with the person to develop new, healthier ways of thinking and acting. For example, if someone feels anxious, they might learn to recognise and change thoughts that make them worry. The goal is to help people manage their problems and improve their quality of life.
